Find out how to craft a proposal to impress the most demanding commissioner on this special two day course run in association with Plymouth Media Partnership and the Celtic Film and Television Festival. Christina Burnett is a documentary producer and one of Europe's leading project development and pitching trainers. She has trained professionals in 10 different countries, for organisations including PACT, the UK Screen Agencies, the Television Business School, Screen Training Ireland, the European Documentary Network and the Amsterdam FORUM for International Co-Financing of Documentaries. There are 5 places for Cornwall Media Focus members and 5 places for members of PM-P. At the end of the course, 4 of the 10 participants will be selected to pitch their ideas LIVE to commissioning editors at the Celtic Film & Television festival - and who knows what blockbusters could end up on a screen near you. The commissioning editors who have agreed to take part are: John Lilley, Head of Local and Regional Programmes for BBC South West; Jane McCloskey, Controller of Programmes for ITV South, and Editor of ITV's Regional Production Fund; Jane Blanchard, Head of Features for ITV Westcountry; and Chantal Rutherford Browne, Commissioning Editor for UK Style. There are only 10 places available on this course and so selection will be competitive. If you would like to apply please email joan@cornwallmediafocus.co.uk and we will send you an application form All proposals will be treated in the strictest confidence. The cost of this course would usually be £300 per delegate, but Cornwall Media Focus is heavily subsidising the event and therefore we are able to offer our members places for just £25. The deadline for applications is 28th February and applicants must be available to attend the course on the 28th & 29th March and the festival pitching event on 30th March |
