Cornwall Film supports Eat Shoot and LeaveHigh level media workshops at Trelowarren are proving popular with Cornwall's media sector.Eat Shoot and Leave is currently taking place over two weeks at Trelowarren Estate from May 6 - 19. A series of practical workshops are bringing filmmakers, actors, directors, producers and writers together to learn new skills, find out more about what's achievable, experiment with new technology and discover innovative ways of working together. Nearly every workshop sold out weeks in advance as attendees are having a unique opportunity to work with some of the world's most sought-after instructors on subjects including Acting for Camera, Screenwriting, using HDV Cameras, Directing and Producing. The 8 participants of Cornwall Film's UPRISING scheme are attending and developing their low budget feature projects, along with film-makers from all over the world. Pippa Best, Project Director at Cornwall Film says "It has been fantastic to see how inspired local film-makers have been by the speakers - filming scenes from classic films to explore how to work with actors, developing ideas for entire screenplays, and learning how to break into new markets. Everyone I spoke to had clearly learnt a huge amount from the experience, and had really enjoyed sharing ideas with new people from all over the world."
