Come Film in Cornwall!Cornish company appointed to showcase Cornwall as a filming destinationSouth West Screen and Cornwall Film are delighted to announce that Cornish company ‘Location Solutions South West LLP' have been appointed to proactively market Cornwall to national and international film and TV production companies, encouraging more filming in the region. Location filming contributes millions to the Cornish economy each year with TV series including ‘Nighty Night’ and ‘Doc Martin’ and films such as ‘Die Another Day’, 'Ladies in Lavender' and Mel Gibson's 'Apocalypto' all taking advantage of Cornwall’s fantastic range of locations, facilities and crew over recent years. ‘Location Solutions' will deliver a targeted and proactive push of locations, crew and facilities in Cornwall over the next six months, and this, coupled with new tax breaks legislation, should significantly increase inward investment in the area. Mark Leaver, Director of Development at South West Screen, said: ‘Location Solutions have an excellent knowledge of the locations, facilities and crew infrastructure in Cornwall, as well as great contacts in the national and international film and TV industry. Their role will involve identifying and pursuing leads and opportunities, proactively promoting Cornwall, and managing visits by potential incoming productions.
