Second round of DIgital Markets announcedLast chance to apply for funding for digital media marketing in January.Some great projects have been selected during the first round of Digital Markets, so Cornwall Film is coming back for more. The scheme’s final application deadlines will fall in January 2007, so start thinking about your business’s marketing needs over the mince pies! Cornish businesses from any sector can apply for up to 40% of the cost of producing the digital marketing tool they desire, using accredited Cornish companies and freelancers to produce this. Digital marketing tools that can be supported by the scheme include interactive websites and promotional DVDs, moving image streamed online, web and digital TV advertising, viral marketing, and mobile phone technology. Pippa Best, Project Director at Cornwall Film says. “Some fantastic projects are being supported through the first round of funding, demonstrating real potential to overcome rural barriers to markets. The second round offers a chance for more businesses to take advantage of advances in digital media to expand audiences and increase trade.” Jessica Smalley, Project Manager of Digital Markets, based at Digital Peninsula Network, says, “Numerous local businesses have registered as accredited suppliers, illustrating the wide range of experienced media, new media and design companies in Cornwall. We have a great resource of talent in Cornwall, and this scheme helps businesses in any sector to find the right supplier for them.” Any business in Cornwall with a desire to develop digital media marketing is eligible to apply for up to £10,000. Businesses will need to submit an Expression of Interest by the 19th January 2007 followed by an application on 29 January 2007. For inspiration, watch the viral.
