Cornwall Film’s PILOTS scheme is due to launch at this event. Hosted by Seven Stones Media, PILOTS will provide funding and support to up to 6 local freelancers/companies to co-develop taster tapes for new factual programming ideas. The best of these will be presented to commissioners. This event will offer a unique chance to get all the info about this brand new scheme, chat informally to Seven Stones and Cornwall Film, and get ready to get your applications in fast! Information on the scheme is now available on this website under 'funding' - 'other schemes'.

The BritDoc Foundation has been set up in part by ex-Channel 4 commissioners and is extremely generously funded by Channel 4. It forms part of Channel 4’s mission to support documentary both on and off TV and sits alongside other new initiatives from Channel 4, such as FourDocs, a new broadband channel, and More4, a new digital channel, launching in October 2005. The fund has now been open for six months and BritDoc has backed twelve fantastic projects to date - details of the first six can be found on www.britdoc.org under Funded Projects.
