Digital Shorts 06/07 is now open for application. Cornwall Film, in association with South West Screen and the UK Film Council is seeking innovative short film ideas from writers and/or directors based in Cornwall.
Under Digital Shorts 06/07, Cornwall Film is seeking to support up to 4 x shorts of no more than ten minutes duration from film-makers based in Cornwall with budgets of up to £7,000. Any genre/format can be considered including documentary. Films need to be shot in Cornwall.
Each applicant will receive a fee of £500 - £1,000 depending on the length of the project. Budgets for Digital Shorts will be managed by line producers appointed by Cornwall Film and South West Screen.

Last year's digital shorts will be premiered on Tuesday 16 May at Screen 7, The Regal, Redruth - and also showcased to the industry in London in June. The four shorts made in 2005/6 were A to B (Henry Darke, Loic Rich), Flash (Bill Scott), Help (Danny Spring) and One Step Forward (Simon Harvey).
