Cornwall Film is offering bursaries to attend the festival in Skye in March 2007.
Some excellent Cornish films have been selected for the 2007 Celtic Media Festival in Skye. To ensure that local film-makers make the most of this great opportunity to show their work and network, Cornwall Film is offering a limited number of bursaries worth up to £600 each to support Cornish media practitioners to attend.
This year’s festival will take place on the Isle of Skye from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 March and will showcase work from Cornwall, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Brittany. It also offers masterclasses and seminars with national and international media industry speakers.
Pippa Best, Project Director at Cornwall Film says “The festival provides a unique opportunity for Cornish media practitioners to meet broadcasters, commissioners, and others in the film and TV industry.”
Cornish work featured at the festival in 2007 will include Shauna Osborne-Dowle’s short film “Ankor”, Laura Hardman’s animated series aimed at teaching under 5s to learn Cornish, “Konin Ha Pryv (Rabbit and Worm)”, Michael Wiese’s feature length documentary “The Sacred Sites of the Dalai Lamas: A Pilgrimage to the Oracle Lake”, and documentaries from Arms Length Production on “Eden: The Inside Story (parts 3 and 4)”, and Amanda Whittington Walsh’s “In Conversation….”.
