Commitment to Cornwall

Most of our schemes can only fund productions or companies located in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
While we look primarily for projects which can be made in Cornwall, but we recognise that geographical location will not always be the guiding factor. Projects which demand a degree of production elsewhere will be considered if they meet the core objectives of the Fund.

Projects with Cornish elements, and which foreground the identity and distinctiveness of Cornwall will be prioritised.


Commitment to developing sustainable businesses

Cornwall Film will seek to support projects that will succeed in national and international markets.

All applicants must have a demonstrable commitment to developing a sustainable media industry in Cornwall.

All applicants will need to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, experience and aptitude in the area for which they are applying for investment. Or in the case of Specialist Mentoring, to have at least a basic knowledge and a desire to gain greater skills and experience.

Any media business or individual working in media in Cornwall is eligible to join Cornwall Media Focus and access market intelligence via the website, newsletter, networking opportunities and workshops.
